“It feels very good to be recognised for your achievements as people are appreciating your hard work.”

Young people have told us when they participate, taking the time to share their views and ideas, they liked to be valued and appreciated. This is why, colleagues, Mindworks Participation Champions and young people, have developed guidance to help partners recognise and value young people and families when they share their views and participate in service development and decision making.

It hopes to support a shared understanding and knowledge base to recognising young people and families time, highlighting things to consider when planning the recognition approach for participation activities, guiding principles and further information and resources.
